The Borough of Clearfield will once again provide curbside leaf collection this fall. Collection on the West Side of the River is scheduled for the weeks of October 6, October 20, and November 3. The East Side of the River will be collected the weeks of October 13, October 27, and November 10.
Residents are asked to rake their leaves or place them in biodegradable paper bags or cardboard boxes, then set them between the sidewalk and curb. Under no circumstances should leaves be raked into the street. Those who live on one-way streets should contact the Borough Office for instructions. Residents are also reminded that leaf collection is designed for the right-of-way and not for entire yards. In addition, curbside cleanup is not to be used by contractors.
Compost will be available to local residents. Newspaper and corrugated cardboard can be recycled at 228/229 Power Avenue. Commercial establishments in the Borough are independently required to recycle items set forth by the Borough’s recycling ordinance. Copies of this ordinance are available at the Clearfield Borough Administration Office.
The Borough also notes that there will be no Christmas tree pickup this year.
