Clearfield Borough will once again be providing curbside pickup of lawn and yard waste that has accumulated throughout the winter months.
This cleanup will occur throughout the borough— both West and East sides of the river —throughout the month of April.
All material to be picked up must be placed at the curb. No exceptions.
Property owners may dispose of yard waste at the borough’s compost site located on 21st Street.
- Leaves and lawn clippings must be put in biodegradable bags or boxes or loose.
- No building materials, such as blocks, bricks, siding or roofing, are permitted.
- No garbage or rubbish, including appliances or furniture, are permitted.
- No metal is permitted.
The borough offers residential curbside recycling for aluminum cans, bimetallic cans and most clear, green and brown glass. Pick up is scheduled for the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
The following items can be dropped off at 229 Power Ave., Recycling Center:
- Cardboard (corrugated) only, newspaper, Ad Bargain type paper. No magazines, books, etc.
- Aluminum cans, aluminum bottles only. No aluminum pet food containers.
Commercial establishments located in the borough are independently required to recycle items set forth by the recycling ordinance.
